Breast Cancer Brawl Results
Sunday was All About Games' third annual Breast Cancer Brawl. Here's a summery of the event by James Kater, the volunteer who ran it.
I got 16 players, everyone had a lot of fun. Auctions were ridiculous and fun. Epic Grissel went for $125, the StormStrider from Faultie went for $225, my Scaverous went for $50, and a Maelok the Dreadbound went for $50 as well. The gun carriage had 109 tickets in it, and went to Haley Venerdi. People paid to play on the tables.
Every auction model sold for at least $15, and all raffle models had at least 20 tickets each. I got to go through all of the papers. In the 12 hours people got in 7 games, some got in less.
So grand total looks like 2k raised, and we still need to sell shirts to people.
Our Highest Donor and big Winner was Mike Lange, Ty from Mountain Home took second, Dick Link in Third. Best painted Army was Kylie Natoniewski who had an amazing tier 4 thyra force, that she had worked on for a week(from build to paint). Schmiddty had the best painted model with his Nemo.
I will break down the list of who won what over the next day or two, I still need to contact our eSkarre and Wyshnallyr raffle winner (Brandon "Uniherd" Greeson). The other raffle models had their winners present at the time to collect. Thank you to those that came, bought tickets and then had to go, it was very nice of you all to still come and donate
There will be a meeting of the minds for BCB next year, so if anyone has an opinion or hears of an opinion of the format we tried, please let me know.

Thank you all. I got some good ideas for next year, I heard that the pay to play tables were lots of fun. I know of one person that abused the league models and went to town with a Mountain Dire Troll, I also know of two people that bought powers for their models, like Advance Deploying their heavies. I heard from several players as to how the felt this years format was, and I would like feedback from everyone. I do plan to get n lot earlier start to next year to make it bigger, better, and even more fun.
A Tale of Four Gamers
A Tale of Four Gamers
Follow four of your fellow gamers here at All About Games as they paint and document their army choices for our slow grow league. Each gamer will be adding write ups as to why they chose their army selections and how they are coming along with the painting. Each person has until the week before Thanksgiving to get 1000 points painted up.
Your Four Gamers
Brandon Wright – From the fiery surface of Nocturne, Brandon brings forth the might of the Pre-Heresy Salamanders Legion. Better equipped and armed than the other legions, they are ready to ignite their foes in the fires of retribution!
Shaun Sharp – With their faith in the Emperor and their desire to bring down the Traitor Legions, Dorn sends forth his Imperial Fists! Shaun leads this Heresy – Era Imperial Fist army that will bring all traitors to justice for shattering the dreams of the Emperor and a united Imperial galaxy!
James Kater – After being decimated at the drop sight massacre of Isstvan V, the Raven Guard are still a force to be reckoned with. Swooping in on contrails lit with vengeance, James rallies the surviving Raven Guard. Elite Jump troops and masters of guerilla warfare, like ninjas, they bring death where least expected.
Tanner Lauerman – Repaying a millennium old debt to the emperor for not providing troops during the Heresy, The Vostroyan First Born provide some of the most loyal and steadfast regiments in the Imperial Guard. Tanner musters the flags of his First Born to once again prove their loyalty to the Emperor and the Imperium!
